How do you rank compared to your competitors?
This question is answered in part by the FT ComMetrics Blog Index, which ranks FT Global 500 and Fortune 500 firms’ corporate blogs. It appeared in the Financial Times newspaper’s regular supplement on Digital Business as well as on its webpage on Thursday, May 14.
The links below address the rankings and provide more information about Best Practices that can be derived from these rankings. Best practices ensure rapid implementation of successful innovative and practical solutions regarding effective blogging.

2009-02 and 03 ➡ No need to shout
Dieter Rams, former design chief at German manufacturer Braun, designed products that were legendarily minimal and ineffably beautiful. He is atrributed by Edwin Heathcote as having written once:
- “Good design is unobtrusive, … Products fulfilling a purpose are like tools. They are neither decorative objects nor works of art.”
So we have been busy going through our code and designs to make sure we follow this philosophy as much as possible.
We believe it is our job to design the web-based software My.ComMetrics.com in such a way that it appeals without overwhelming its purpose with looks or making it too complicated to operate. We want to follow the KISS or Keep it Simple Stupid principle.
